About
The 1762-IF4 is an Allen-Bradley MicroLogix 1200 System with a 4-channel current/voltage analog input module. It has dimensions of 90 x 87 x 40.4 millimeters. It has a Delta-Sigma converter and 4 differential (bipolar) inputs. Its analog operating voltage range is around 10 Volts DC normal and 10.5 Volt DC full-scale. Its analog operating current range is 4 to 20 mA normal and -21 to 21 mA at full scale. It converts the analog input up to the full-scale range. It enhances the functionality of MicroLogix 1200 controllers. It requires minimal spacing and can be either DIN rail or panel-mounted. The 1762-IF4 module has a single status LED that indicates power and helps identify the source of all problems. The module communicates and receives information on 5 to 24 Volts DC power via the 1762 bus interface. For wiring the input terminal blocks, a finger-safe cover is present. A flat ribbon cable is used to attach various I/O modules. The 1762-IF4 module can be connected to 3 types of transmitters i.e., 2-wire, 3-wire, or 4-wire. The operation details must be configured for each channel after module installation. For safety while troubleshooting, users should always stand away from the equipment and always check it for any program change. Safety circuits should always be wired in series to the master relay.
The 1762-IF4 module should be installed in non-hazardous, dry, and clean environments with circuits not crossing overvoltage Category II standards. To avoid damage to the module, always prevent electrostatic discharge and remove power. The 1762-IF4 is an Allen-Bradley PLC. The MicroLogix 1200 controller provides more computing power and flexibility than the MicroLogix 1000 controllers to solve a variety of application needs. A field-upgradable flash operating system helps to make sure the users will always be up-to-date with the latest features without having to replace any of the hardware. The I/O count can be expanded by using rackless I/O modules. This results in larger control systems, greater application flexibility, and expandability at a lower cost and a reduced parts inventory.
