About
The Allen-Bradley 1762-L24BWAR is an Embedded I/O and Input Power Controller. It runs on 120 to 240 Volts AC of input power, it has 10 to 24 Volt DC inputs and 4 fast 24 Volt DC inputs and 10 relay outputs. The 1762-L24BWAR measures around 3.5 x 4.33 x 3.43 inches. Not that the 1762-L24BWAR’s sensor supply has a COM that is internally connected to the chassis ground. This supply should only be used for the input devices (like switches and sensors) but not for the output circuits. The 1762-L24BWAR has an extra RS-232 communications port (the Programmer/HMI Port) for advanced and efficient communications and applications that require an interface or a network connection. However, the port can only support DH Full-duplex applications, it cannot initiate messages, and the user cannot change the parameters the communication port is set to.
The 1762-L24BWAR’s minimum on-state current for inputs 0 to 3 is 2.5 mA at 14 Volts DC, the nominal current is 7.3 mA at 24 Volts DC, and the maximum on-state current is 12 mA at 30 Volts DC. For inputs 4 and above, the minimum on-state current is 2 mA at 10 Volts DC, the nominal current is 8.9 mA at 24 Volts DC, and the maximum current is 12 mA at 30 Volts DC. Inputs 0 to 3 operate at a 0 to 20 Hertz frequency, and inputs 4 and above operate at 0 Hertz to 1k Hertz, depending on the scan time. The 1762-L24BWAR’s off-state voltage range is 0 to 5 Volts DC and its off-state leakage current is 1.5 mA minimum. The current for all the devices connected to the 1762-L24BWAR controller is equal to the sum of all the sensor current.
