Featuring MicroLogix 1200 technology, the Allen-Bradley 1762-L24BXBR is a sink/resource type programmable controller unit which supports as many as 24 channels. It runs on 24 Volts DC input voltage while the maximum inrush power supply is 15A for 20 milliseconds (at 24 Volts DC). The controller unit comes packed in a smart, compact, and space-saving architecture with the dimensions of around 4.3 x 3.4 x 3.5 inches, respectively. The small footprint design of the controller optimizes panel space. The functionality of the 1200/1762 MicroLogix system falls between that of the MicroLogix 1000 and MicroLogix 1500 systems. All these systems use the proven architecture of the MicroLogix and SLC families. With the built-in 6K-word memory, you can store up to 2K words of data and 4K words of programming. Meanwhile, there is an optional memory module for the backing up the data and programs. The memory backup facility gives protection and transportability for both data and programs. It also offers uploading and downloading capabilities for the program.
The 1762-L24BXBR programmable controller unit contains a real-time clock which allows for scheduling the control activities. Utilizing the flash upgradable OS, you can easily upgrade the system software without replacing the hardware. The control unit offers extended flexibility with 24 or 40 I/O points. The input points support either 120 Volts AC or 24 Volts DC (sink or resource). On the other hand, the outputs are relay contact or FET. At the same time, in up to 6 digital or analog modules, you can add as many as 96 I/O. It is also powered by a wide range of high-functionality communication options.
