The Allen-Bradley 1766-L32AWAA is a part of the MicroLogix 1400 Controller series. It combines the features from existing MicroLogix 1100 controllers, such as EtherNet/IP, online editing, and an LCD that has a high I/O count, a High-Speed Counter, and a pulse train output and enhanced network capabilities compared to past LCDs. It also features a backlight on the LCD panel to set network configuration, view the controller, I/O status, and the integers.
The 1766-L32AWAA controller requires 120-240V AC input power and has battery-backed RAM. It supports 32 digital I/O points with 20 digital 120V AC inputs, 12 Relay outputs and 6 analog (12 bits) I/O points with 4 inputs and 2 outputs. It can be expanded by connecting it with as many as seven 1762 expansion I/O modules. It has dimensions of 3.5 x 7.08 x 3.43 in. and a weight of 2 lbs. For communication, it has an isolated RS-232/485 port, an Ethernet port, and a non-isolated RS-232 port. The 1766-L32AWAA controller’s Ethernet port provides DNP3 protocol support as well as web server and email capabilities. It has 2 Serial ports with DH485/DF1/Modbus RTU/DNP3/ASCII protocol support. It has up to 6 embedded 100 kHz high-speed counters (only on controllers that have DC inputs). It also has 20 KB memory for user programs and data.
